Installation of Oracle9i on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody)

Sorry I've not enough time to write a detailed installation description. But here are some short tips I needed to install:

1. Install Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody)
2. Set $LANG environment variable to circumvent the segmentation fault at startup of the universal installer.
3. Be sure that you have also correctly configured your locales (i.e. you set LANG=en_GB and have generated the en_GB locales using dpkg-reconfigure -plow locales).
